What I’ve Been Working On… Part One: Metro 2033™
I’ve just finished developing the new site for THQ and 4A Game‘s Metro 2033™. It’s mainly a promotional tool for the games up and coming March release date. In other-words, don’t expect a demo anytime soon.
The game looks really decent so it’ll be worth your while checking out the trailer. The game makes use of the PhysX SDK and is out on PC and 360.

Back-end: PHP using the CakePHP framework
Front-end: XHTML, CSS, Javascript using Prototype

Good work on that project Moz, you did it all without any support whatsoever, and considering you’re fairly new to CakePHP, that’s a great achievement. In addition, I was very impressed by your forward thinking in ensuring the architecture and underlying functionality was implemented in a way it could be re-purposed for other similar sites. Nice one.
Nice design by the way? Yours or the missus’ ?
@Neil
Cheers mate, really pleased with the way it’s turned out. Back-end costs with any luck should be minimal for future ‘THQ’ brand sites. Bit annoyed we had a little hiccup right at the death but then again, at least it feels like my baby! *hints towards Modern Warfare 2 UCD debacle*
A freebie actually Neil, search for ‘Notepad Chaos’
